Digital Media Leader - Social, Content & Strategic Communications

About
I grew up in Fez, Morocco — a city with centuries of stories, craft and character. It taught me that good work starts with curiosity: appreciating context and questioning the obvious. For the past ten years, I’ve worked in social, content, branding and strategic communications across MENA, most of it in newsrooms. That’s where I learned that attention is earned every day, or not at all.

Building content systems, social strategies and creative that give brands a distinctive voice and earn attention.
Shaping how brands show up, connect with audiences and grow — from positioning and messaging to the channels and experiences that bring it to life.
Finding where audiences are, what makes them care, and how to turn attention into meaningful growth through content, community and experimentation.
Finding practical ways to bring AI into everyday marketing and content workflows — then actually building the systems, automations and processes that make them work.
Planning and running paid campaigns across platforms, using audience insights and performance data to improve reach, acquisition and conversion.
Leading crisis response, reputation management, and personal and corporate branding, building messaging that protects trust and keeps a brand’s voice steady.
I look at who the audience really is, not who we assume they are. That gap between the real audience and the imagined one is where most problems start.
I spent years designing before I ever wrote a strategy. Layouts, brand assets, visual campaigns, that was the job for a while. It still shapes how I think. I notice hierarchy, what pulls the eye first, what feels off even when I can’t explain why. When I moved into digital media, that eye didn’t switch off, it just got applied to bigger things, how a whole brand looks and reads, not just a single page.
That attention is earned every day. In a newsroom, if today’s story doesn’t land, it doesn’t matter how good yesterday’s was, you start over from nothing. I bring that same mindset into brand work now. I still want the big, memorable wins, I just don’t let one carry the next. Every piece of work has to earn its own attention, not ride on what came before it.
Most of the conversation around it is still noise, people trying to sound ahead of the curve. My stance is simpler: the real shift is building systems and agents that take over the repetitive layer of the work on their own, research, pulling patterns out of data, running parts of a workflow that don’t need a human judgment call every time. Once that layer runs itself, you get real time back for the things that actually move a brand, strategy, positioning, figuring out what’s working and why it’s working. That’s where I put my attention.
I stop worrying about being everywhere and start asking where our audience actually spends their time, and why. Most brands try to show up on every platform. I’d rather pick one or two and actually be good there.
First, I look at the data, sentiment, engagement patterns, where the story is actually spreading and who’s pushing it. You can’t respond well to something you haven’t measured. Once that’s clear, the approach stays consistent: tell the truth, say it the same way across every channel, and push back directly on any false narrative instead of hoping it fades on its own. Most brands get this wrong because they react to the noise instead of what’s actually happening.
When a brand has something real on the line, a reputation to protect, a new market to figure out, an audience it hasn’t found yet. I’m most useful when there isn’t a plan yet and I get to build it and execute it.
